HBO is promoting the new season of Boardwalk Empire with a new ‘Compliments of Nucky’ campaign.
HBO has teamed up with Ceasar’s Atlantic City, LivingSocial, and Canadian Club, and the New York City MTA to bring attention to the new season starting this month.
The network has worked with New York City’s MTA to place a vintage 1920s train on the 2/3 line.
Riders can actually hop on the train on weekends this month starting this weekend at the 42nd, 72nd and 96th Street stations. During the last weekend of September HBO will be at the 42nd and 72nd Street stops to hand out free metrocards.
The train is an authentic museum piece used in the 1920s by the Interborough Rapid Transit system and features rattan seats, ceiling fans and drop sash windows.
HBO has added its own show-related signage to the train.
