Golden Globes Nominees have a Bookish Tone

The Golden Globe nominations for 2011 were released on December 14th and they feature a number of literary adaptations, including “Alice in Wonderland.

Another nominee is the HBO series “Boardwalk Empire,” which was inspired by Nelson Johnson’s book and is up for best TV drama series.

Nominees in the category for best TV movie or mini-series include “The Pacific,” which drew from Eugene Sledge’s memoir “With the Old Breed” and Robert Leckie’s “Helmet for My Pillow.” Nominee “Temple Grandin,” drew from the memoir “Thinking in Pictures.”
